From Telekinesis to Astral Projection? 4 Classes of Tree of Savior Revealed

IMC Games has released a gameplay video of <Tree of Savior>, previewing some of the classes that will be available.  There are four classes in this preview: Linker, Psychokino, Necromancer, Sadhu.  Let’s take a look at the preview.

4 Classes Revealed: Telekinesis and Astral Projection Powers

The ‘TOS Q&A #7’ post was posted on the 4th in the <Tree of Savior> developer blog (http://blog.treeofsavior.com/?p=416).  This post was created in order to introduce the Lnker, Psychokino, Necromancer, and Sadhu, on top of answering questions of users.

The first class to be introduced, the ‘Linker,’ is a class that has the ability to gather and entangle groups of enemies.  The Linker class links multiple enemies into one group to damage or debuff all enemies simultaneously.  Alternatively, the Linker is able to link multiple allies to spread out the damage received or to share the effects of potions or buffs.

The second class, the ‘Psychokino,’ is a class that uses telekinetic powers.  Using telekinetic powers, the Psychokino can either damage its enemies directly, or forcefully relocate its enemies.  An example of its uses is moving enemies into a single file line while another party member uses a piercing skill.  The Psychokino can also damage its enemies by colliding them into each other.

The ‘Necromancer’ is a class that uses reanimation skills on its fallen enemies.  By collecting corpses, the Necromancer can create a wall to protect itself or use them to attack its enemies.  Also, the Necromancer can collect boss ‘cards’ to summon ‘Shoggoths.’

The last class to be introduced, the ‘Sadhu,’ is a class that uses astral projection.  Using astral projection, the Sadhu can separate its spirit from its physical body to attack its enemies.  The spirit form is not detectable by enemies, making it very useful in ambushing.  The spirit form can also be exploded to severely damage its enemies.  However, the physical body is vulnerable while the spirit form is active, requiring extra care.

Freedom Ensured – “No need to clear all quests”

The development team of <Tree of Savior> has promised its users some forms of freedom in the game.  The team has been developing the game in a way that ensures that players do not feel the need to complete all the quests.

Weapon selections also have its share of freedom.  A warrior class can wield a wand while a magician class can wield a hammer.  The monk, who favors hand-to-hand combat, can decide to wield a variety of weapons.

Furthermore, the experience of non-combat contents can also vary depending on the class.  The development team has commented that “while some classes only have combat-related skills, some classes possess non-combat skills.”  Non-combat classes such as chefs and fishers do not exist, but these skills will exist.

On the other hand, the development team has also commented on the current game music projects.  Currently, <Tree of Savior>’s sound director ‘sevin’ is collaborating with his previous group ‘SoundTeMP.’  Collaborations with musicians other than ‘SoundTeMP’ are also in plan.

Tree of Savior Revealed Off-hand Items and Comapanion Systems

Highly-anticipated MMORPG <Tree of Savior> revealed in-game play trailer for the first time on its official blog last week. The released trailers show battle systems and in-game pet system ‘companioin.’

Players can hold a sub-weapon such as shield, dagger, or other magic items not for battle on left hand. Depending on what off-hand item you hold, battle style totally changes regardless of classes.

With a shield, you can be a traditional tanker by blocking a enemy’s attack while you can kill monsters faster with a dagger. A magic fan can create storms that thrust enemies away from you, and an umbrella or a bubble making toy may do nothing, really nothing.

‘Companion’ is simply a pet system of other MMORPG. Players can raise companion by feeding and stroking them with love. Some companions may fight along with you or let you mount themselves if they think you are a trustworthy friend. So, they are not just a pet, mount, or something that damages monster along with you. They are literally companion of yours. They may equip items as well later.

MMORPG Tree of Savior Aims for Summer CBT

A highly anticipated MMORPG <Tree of Savior> has released its recent update of schedules.

IMC Games has released on the 30th via its developer blog (http://blog.treeofsavior.co.kr/) its recent update for <Tree of Savior>’s launch schedule.  Additionally, they have also answered a few of the most asked questions, including specific game contents, systems, and future test schedules.

First, <Tree of Savior> is being developed as a traditional MMORPG.  Most of the field and dungeons will be played out like a typical MMO games, and to emphasize action most controls will be done via the keyboard.  Gamepad support is also being developed and tested.

There will be a total of 4 basic classes: Warrior, Magician, Archer, and Priest.  These 4 classes will be able to advance into various upper rank classes specific to their basic class.  However, it will also be possible to opt out of advancement in order to retrain the basic class.

For example, magicians will be able to advance into either the Pyromancer or the Cryomancer, while having the third option to retrain into Magician 2nd Circle.  In this case, magicians will be able to attain higher skill levels than they were able to in the first circle or learn new high rank magician skills.

Ultimately when the Magician attains enough levels as the 2nd Circle to be eligible for another class advancement, they will have the 3rd Circle Magician, Pyromancer, and Cyromancer to choose from, on top of the 3rd rank classes Linker and Psycochino.

While their previous game <Ragnorok Online> had the gender of the character determined by the player’s social security number, <Tree of Savior> will give players the freedom to choose.  Characters will receive class specific costumes upon advancing into another class, allowing players to customize the appearances of their characters.

IMC Games has adjusted their testing schedules after the previous FGT in February, and now aims for the first CBT to be within this summer.  As for the system requirements, they plan to have it set to the level that the current Ultrabook Notebooks in sale can run at optimal speed.20140430212057_716720140430212058_827320140430212053_4136

MMORPG Tree of Savior Kicks Off FGT in Feb

IMC Games’ brand new MMORPG <Tree of Savior> is now ready to start a focused group test in Feburary. It had recruited testers from its Facebook Page since last 14th of Feb.

<Tree of Savior>, a.k.a. <Project R1> in the past, is the latest project of Hakkyu Kim who had developed the worldwide hit MMORPG <Ragnarok Online>. It features 80 character classes, 10 class tiers and so on.

While the test would focus on in-game content and concepts, the developer has not clarified how far and how much it would go with the test.

“I was surprised that not a few foreigners applied for the test. Thanks for all your interest in our game. The FGT will take place in Feb,” said Hakkyu Kim, the CEO of IMC Games. In response to the international interest they are setting up another test for foreign players.
