Sudden Attack Under Maintenance for 18 Hours

July 11th, 2011

Today is the first day of <Sudden Attack> servicing via Nexon site. But it seems having more agony than joy.

The server for both Nexon and Netmarble has been down since last midnight. It should have been on live about 7 hours ago, but it is still under maintenace.

The unexpected problem is allegedly occured from the data transferring from Netmarble to Nexon for co-publishing.

Gamehi and Nexon are trying to conclude the maintenance as late as 8 p.m. which is 20 hours from the very first maintenance. But no one knows if they can make it or not.

Nexon said “So many unexpected errors keep occuring as the amount of DB we are bringing in is countless. We are trying to cut it at 8 p.m. but it would take even longer. We are deeply sorry to our players and will compensate for the long maintenace.”

Will Nexon and Netmarble Share Sudden Attack?

June 20th, 2011

On last Friday, <Sudden Attack>’s original publisher CJ E&M Netmarble and new publisher Nexon met for negotiation over co-publishing. They are, reportedly, engaging themselves in the negotiation with positive attitude.

First of all, they resolved the rights for the official homepage management and update as well as withdrawing two lawsuits Gamehi had claimed.

In addition to the settlement, they are talking about the DB transfer and co-publishing.

Nexon said “It is true we are positively working on the co-service. Both Nexon and Netmarble are agree with the thoughts of highlighting the value of <Sudden Attack> and alleviating our customers’ inconvenience. Therefore we are looking forward to having a positive result from the table.”

“The cooperation is what Netmarble has always wanted. If it works, we will do our best to minimize our customers’ inconvenience,” added Netmarble.

Meanwhile, Nexon has been cooperating with NHN Japan for <Dungeon & Fighters> in Japan. <D&F> in Japan was originally published by NHN Japan, but its main publisher has been changed to Nexon as it purchased Neople, the developer of the game. But Nexon has allowed NHN Japan co-publishing the game in a way of channeling service.
