Grandchase Enters 20 SA Markets

KOG announced its agreement of publishing action RPG <Grandchase> in South America with Latin Interactive Network taken place in last May.

LIN is an online game publisher servicing in about 20 SA countries including Argentina, Chile, Columbia, and Mexico and is publishing many korean online games such as <Audition>.

The CEO of LIN Cristian Schweizer said “We are glad to work with KOG and <Grandchase> would also hit the SA market as it is holding #1 CCU in Brazil.”

The CEO of KOG JongWon Lee said “We are exciting to work with LIN which is the best publisher in SA. The swift action based <Grandchase> would provide exciting experience to the SA gamers.”

<Grandchase> has been exported to various foreign markets including Brazil, Philippine, and recently added Indonesia.

Point Blank Shoots Latin America.

Zepetto announced they have signed a publishing contract in 23?Latin?America countries include Mexico, Argentina, Peru, and Chile with FHL Games.

“Latin America is a big and attractive market with a population of 350m under unity culture and with an internet population that is dramatically increasing by?20~30% yearly. We will make another myth of Korean online FPS game through aggressive?marketing, channeling strategy, and stable service,” said Chul Jung the CEO of FHL Games.

South America is a Korea-friendly market as more than half of 15 top online games are Korean games. It is also spotlighted as a blue ocean since it is anticipated becoming a market with US$ 1b this year.

ITS GAME in China Has Finished Successfully.

‘ITS GAME in China – Export Business Meeting for Korean games(ITS GAMES in China)’ hosted by Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism(MCST), KOCCA, and Seoul Business Agency(SBA) is successfully held at Shanghai Millennium Honggiao hotel on July 27th and 28th.

It is purposely held before the China Joy in order to help exporting Korean games to the Chinese market. 16 Korean developers such as Estsoft, Com2us, and etc. are participated.

Chien Tung Hai, the vice president of Shanda Games, said, “Although many Chinese games are being serviced, the major hot games are mostly Korean games.” and “I have attended ITS GAMES in Korea last May in order to find a good Korean game, and attended this ITS GAMES again for the same reason.”

Meanwhile, MCST will hosts a Korea joint booth in GamesCom in German which is held from Aug. 19th to 22th as a way to foster exporting Korean games to foreign markets. Additionally, they plans active supports such as dispatching delegation for market pioneer to Brazil and Peru which are rising blue ocean in the online game market in October.

[NGD Studios] Revamps Regnum Online

I don’t usually post on updates but this game is developed by Buenos Aires-based NGD Studios. And it’s not like you come across with a free-to-play MMORPG developed in Latin America. They are publishing Regnum Online in Europe partnering with Gamigo.
