NHN announced the signing of a contract for taking over WiseCat, a developer of online baseball game <Slugger>, by purchasing 51% of share.
With this contract, NHN is now able to reinforce publishing business of Hangame by getting a sports game title and to drive new projects such as smart phone game service and developing wire/wireless synchronized games.
“NHN looks forward to making positive synergy effect to the global sports game market by uniting service ability from NHN and excellent development of sports games from WiseCat. NHN will continue maintaining the partnership in various ways such as taking over, investing, or publishing competent developers in order to reinforce the game business,” said SangHun Kim the CEO of NHN.
