Internet invested 1 billion Won (US$ 0.8 million) in Maius Games (마이어스게임즈: Kor) to take 35% stake and acquired a global publishing licence for the studio’s MMORPG Project Monarch for another 1 billion Won.

The Project Monarch is in its early development stage and expected to complete the production by December 2011. This is the first time for CJ Internet to invest in a new studio.

Maius Games was found in August 2008 by industry veteran developers previously involved with Kingdom under Fire, N3, SUN and Huxley.

CJ Internet recently acquired another game developer Seed9 and a PC cafe chain MediaWeb.
